Achebe Capital
Achebe (ahhh—chey—beh) Capital is an early stage venture capital fund and investment platform that aims to give people easy access to early stage start-up investing.
We focus on teams with a founder or leader who identifies as African, the African Diaspora, and/or New American. We prioritize teams that are gender-balanced, which we define as having at least one female founder / member of the leadership team.
We support solutions that increase access and build community. Companies with community at the core and increasing access in mind, produce outsized returns. We are obsessed with start-ups that strive to make a meaningful impact - whether it be social, wellbeing, economic, environmental, or cultural.
Startup founders from the US and beyond who are from the African diaspora and/or new Americans with companies in Healthcare, climate, commerce (manufacturing, infrastructure), culture (media, music, fashion, beauty, food).
